BVA Nudge Unit is a global consultancy that combines Behavioral Science and Sectorial Expertise to drive successful behavior change, build enduring capabilities and deliver measurable results.

We were launched in 2013 and now have consultants across our offices in Paris, London, New York, Singapore and Santiago, Chile.

BVA Nudge Unit partners with both public and private sector organizations (including Reckitt, Wunderman Thompson Health, NatWest, the United Nations and Save the Children) to help them learn, apply and instill Behavioral Science.

BVA Nudge Unit is the Behavioral Science division of the BVA Group, a top 20 global insights agency.

Recent projects have included:

  • Applying behavioral science to increase diversity/inclusion and train financial advisors to promote female financial participation at a bank
  • Developing a Behavioral Science learning/coaching platform for global organizations
  • Creating interventions to increase the use of sanitizing products during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Helping a railway to reduce delays caused by passenger behavior, by “nudging” more efficient boarding of trains and use of the emergency button
  • Improving the home delivery experience for a quick-service restaurant

Consultant, USA

We are currently seeking a Consultant to join our team in the U.S. 

The ideal candidate lives in the NYC metro area, with the ability to work out of a Manhattan office location
1-2 times per week, with the rest of the time remote.

About the position:

The role will involve all aspects of client servicing and project management, as you will:

  • Review briefs and execute desk research
  • Attend and participate in client calls/meetings
  • Execute and analyze different forms of ethnographic research
  • Help facilitate workshops with clients
  • Prepare and help share client deliverables (reports, presentations, etc.)
In addition, as time allows, you will work with us to secure new clients and projects, by helping develop articles/posts, attending and co-presenting at conferences/webinars, and preparing proposals. 

Job requirements:

The skills and experience that we’re looking for are:

  • Demonstrated interest and experience in Behavioral Science including:
    • A clear understanding of Behavioral Science principles and their real-world application
    • Demonstrated experience in applying Behavioral Sciences to solve real-world challenges in business context
    • Ideally a Masters’ degree in a relevant field (Behavioral Science, Psychology, Cognitive
      Science, Marketing/Communications, etc.)
    • Quantitative skills a strong plus
  • 3-5 years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following sectors:
    • Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare
    • Insurance/Financial Services/Retail Banking
    • Consumer Goods (FMCG/CPG/QSR)
    • Consulting/Professional Services
  • Strong writing skills (articles/papers, blog posts/social media, new business proposals)
  • Strong client-facing skills – articulate, active listener, shows empathy, etc.
  • Strong project management skills – committed, organized, detailed, etc.
  • HubSpot skills are a plus
  • Flexibility and an Entrepreneurial spirit are a must

The salary for this role is in the $75-100k USD range per year plus full health benefits, retirement match etc.
